With North Korea getting qualified for the

2010 World Cup

, Sepp Blatter, president of FIFA expresses his happiness for the consistent and considerable growth of the game all across the world.

Blatter expressing his happiness to media stated, “I think to have the Democratic Republic of Korea at the World Cup is a confirmation that the development of football will not stop, and North Korea has always had good footballers,” he further said, “In the past they have been in FIFA's women's competitions, they have had great players in the women's Under-17 and Under-20 teams.”

The year 1966 finale was quite popular, as North Korea beat Italy for 1.0. They also defeated Portugal for 3-0 during the quarter finals of the championship, but lost to Eusebio-inspired battle for 5-3. Although, North Korea is regarded as a closed society, still they have to follow the rules and regulations of FIFA. Thus, they need to address open and regular media meetings.

Blatter ended with a funny note during the press meet, “I don't think there will be a problem with North Korea," he also said, “Whether we can make a draw and bring them together with Italy again, we'll have to wait and see whether Italy qualify.”
