Pele Optimistic About an African Winner

Abedi Pele, the former Ghana international player, predicts that African country can be the winner of the upcoming 2010 football world cup. This 44 year old legendary player of Africa is the active member of FIFA’s Football Committee as well as the technical committee. He stated this after evaluating their great performances at the notable Confederations Cup.

According to him, four teams from African continent could be the quarter finalists, two of them could attain the last four positions and one could be the part of grand finale. Till now, the football World Cup record of African continent is not quite good, as they had made up to the last eight teams.
